Partnering with Exchanges, Clearing Houses, Futures Commission Merchants (FCMs), Price Reporting Agencies (PRAs) and leading Universities, Mint Finance collaborates with its clients to create positive financial impact among market participants.

Mint Finance works primarily with institutional clients comprising of asset managers (such as family offices, endowments, proprietary trading firms, pension funds), sell-side participants, exchanges, clearing houses, market infrastructure providers and regulators. 

The Role 

Mint Finance is looking to hire Quant Research Analyst covering commodity markets. As a quant researcher, you will enable us to demystify complex commodity market trends analysing supply & demand for raw materials and its downstream products. 

You will analyse data from physical markets (production, consumption, exports, imports) across multiple time frames. You will closely monitor the financial performance of key producers and consumers in those respective commodities to craft insightful investment narratives. 

In this role, you are expected to apply your analytical skills to extract insights from big data sets and engineer predictive models to augment investment decisions. You will be responsible for research, data analysis, and, developing narratives, and presenting it to findings to key stakeholders.

The Candidate

• Must have deep curiosity in capital markets and quantitative finance (trading experience preferred)
• Fluency in Python and its various quant libraries
• Demonstrated aptitude in applied math and econometrics 
• Thoughtful individual and able to collaborate within remote teams
• Driven, passionate and a fast learner
• Deep intellectual integrity

The Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze large data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights
• Develop and maintain predictive models to forecast market behavior
• Create and maintain databases to store and manage large data sets
• Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and measure the impact of various factors on market performance
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop investment strategies based on research findings
• Communicate research results and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Stay up-to-date with new research methods and technologies to ensure the team remains at the forefront of research in the industry
• Attend industry events and closely monitor quarterly earnings calls

The Requirements

• Certificate in Quantitative Finance
• Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science
• Strong knowledge of statistical methods and techniques, and experience using statistical software (Python preferred)
• Proven experience in quantitative research, data analysis, and statistical modeling
• Experience in finance or investment management preferred
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
